Established in 1972 by the respected philanthropist Shamsunnahar Rahman Paran, Shishu Prabha began its mission with relief efforts in the slum areas of Chattogram city. Since then, the organization has significantly expanded its scope to include a wide range of initiatives.
These initiatives cover several key areas: Community and Reproductive Health, Child Education and Protection, Community Development & Livelihood, Social Rights & Advocacy, and Food Security & Nutrition. Shishu Prabha also works on Sustainable Agriculture, Climate & Renewable Energy, and Water & Sanitation. Additionally, the organization promotes Skills & Entrepreneurship Development and Microfinance & Financial Inclusion to help build a more equitable and prosperous nation.
